MeTV Toons Will Celebrate the Anniversary of ‘The Yogi Bear Show’ with an All Day Marathon

MeTV Toons, the network dedicated to classic cartoons, is planning a 65th anniversary celebration for The Yogi Bear Show, called ‘Yogi’s 65th Anniversary Pic-a-nic.’

The event, an all-day marathon of the show, will air on Sunday, February 22, beginning at 6 a.m. Viewers can catch back-to-back episodes of The Yogi Bear Show, along with other Yogi Bear spin-offs and movies including Hey There, it’s Yogi Bear, the full-length theatrical movie from 1964.

Created by Hanna-Barbera, the Yogi Bear character made his television debut in 1958 in The Huckleberry Hound Show, eventually becoming a breakout star and given his own show in January 1961, The Yogi-Bear Show. Most of Yogi’s cartoons centered on his antics in the fictional Jellystone Park. Yogi, accompanied by his constant companion Boo-Boo Bear, would often try to steal picnic baskets from campers in the park, much to the displeasure of Park Ranger Smith. His favorite self-promotion was the catchphrase, “Smarter than the av-er-age bear!”

You can stream MeTV Toons on Philo, Frndly TV, Fubo, and DIRECTV, as well as Xfinity.

Here’s the schedule for Sunday, February 22 from 6 a.m. -8 p.m. ET/PT
