MeTV Toons is gearing up for a fantastic celebration of one of the most iconic animated characters of all time, Bugs Bunny, who is turning 84 this year. To honor this momentous occasion, the network is presenting a brand new original special, “Hare’s to Bugs! A Bugs Bunny Celebration,” premiering on Saturday, July 27 at 10am / 9c. The special is part of a day-long event aptly named ‘Bugs Bunny’s Birthday Bash,’ featuring a marathon of Bugs Bunny’s best animated shorts.
A Special Tribute to the Wascally Wabbit
The one-hour special, “Hare’s to Bugs! A Bugs Bunny Celebration,” will delve into the extraordinary journey of Bugs Bunny from an animated character to a global pop culture icon. Produced in association with Warner Bros. Discovery, this heartfelt tribute includes classic archival footage and new exclusive interviews with voice actors such as Bob Bergen, Eric Bauza, Jeff Bergman, Candi Milo, Billy West, TV hosts Bill Leff and Kevin Fleming, animation historian Jerry Beck, and Variety’s TV Editor Mike Schneider, among others.
This special will premiere at 10am / 9c and will have multiple encore airings throughout the day as part of the celebratory marathon. Fans can look forward to a nostalgic trip down memory lane, reliving the hilarious antics and unforgettable moments of Bugs Bunny.
