MeTV is kicking off 2026 with a brand-new weekend programming block, and it’s tailor-made for fans of glossy escapism, retro adventures, and some of TV’s most enduring characters. Beginning Sunday, January 4, the network will debut “Aaron Spelling Sundays,” a four-hour showcase of iconic series from one of television’s most prolific and influential producers.
The block airs from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. ET/PT every Sunday afternoon and features a back-to-back lineup of Charlie’s Angels, Hart to Hart, Fantasy Island, and The Love Boat. MeTV calls the collection a celebration of the 1970s and early ’80s era when Aaron Spelling shaped pop culture with stylish mysteries, globe-trotting adventures, and feel-good ensemble dramas. With more than 3,000 produced titles and over 5,000 hours of television in his catalog, Spelling remains one of the most successful producers in TV history.
A Look at the New Sunday Lineup
2 p.m. ET/PT : Charlie’s Angels
Spelling’s breakout hit became a cultural phenomenon when it premiered in 1976. The series followed three private investigators working for the elusive Charlie Townsend, balancing undercover missions, high-stakes action, and the breezy charm that defined the decade. The chemistry between the Angels helped redefine female-led television and turned the series into a syndication staple that still draws viewers nearly 50 years later.
3 p.m. ET/PT: Hart to Hart
Premiering in 1979, Hart to Hart starred Robert Wagner and Stefanie Powers as Jonathan and Jennifer Hart, a glamorous couple who somehow kept stumbling into murder mysteries between lavish parties and jet-setting adventures. The show blended romance, intrigue, and lighthearted fun, giving audiences a weekly dose of escapism anchored by the Harts’ irresistible charm.
4 p.m. ET/PT — Fantasy Island
Few shows captured viewers’ imaginations quite like Fantasy Island, which debuted in 1977. Hosted by the iconic Mr. Roarke and his assistant Tattoo, each episode welcomed new guests whose fantasies came true… often with unexpected twists. The anthology format allowed for genre-bending stories, emotional resolutions, and one of television’s most recognizable tropical settings.
5 p.m. ET/PT — The Love Boat
Come aboard. They’re expecting you. Rounding out the block is the long-running hit that practically defined feel-good weekend television. Beginning in 1977, The Love Boat invited viewers aboard the Pacific Princess for stories of romance, comedy, and celebrity guest stars. We’re talking lots of them. Its sunny tone and rotating cast of passengers made it one of the most comforting and rewatchable series of its time.
