Last week, cable provider Mediacom was among dozens of companies to sign on to the Federal Communications Commission’s Keep Americans Connected Pledge, which sought to ensure service and access during the ongoing coronavirus outbreak. Now, the company has detailed some of the steps it’s taking in response, including faster speeds on its Connect2Compete program, extended pricing discounts, and a temporary halt on monthly data allowances.

Here’s a quick rundown of Mediacom’s plans:

“By helping as many people as possible get online, we hope to create opportunities for patients to safely connect with their doctors through telemedicine applications, for students to continue their studies online, and for employees to work from home,” John Pascarelli, Mediacom’s EVP of Operations, said in the press release.

We’re continuing to track all the discounts, deals, and upgrades companies are offering to help customers deal with the impact of the coronavirus pandemic and we’ll keep you updated as we learn more.
