Max Orders New Conan O’Brien Travel Series

Team Coco fans are in for a treat! Conan O’Brien is coming to HBO Max with a new international travel series. Conan O’Brien Must Go is currently in production and will consist of four episodes. In this new series, Conan O’Brien will visit friends and fans he’s amassed through his popular weekly podcast Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend (2018 – ) and companion series Conan O’Brien Needs a Fan (2021).

“My fans around the globe never asked me to visit them, so I did,” he says.

Conan has been a late-night television legend for 28 years, first hosting Late Night with Conan O’Brien from 1993 to 2009 before moving to The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien from 2009 to 2010. From 2010 to 2021, he hosted Conan on TBS, securing his spot as one of the longest tenures in late-night television history.

“Conan is a national treasure…at least that’s what he keeps telling me”, says Nina Rosenstein, Executive Vice President of HBO Programming. “It’s been an absolute dream to work with him, Jeff, and the whole Conaco team. They’re everything you’d hope for – insanely smart, ridiculously funny, and nicer than they’d probably want to admit.”

His next venture, Conan Without Borders is an Emmy-winning international travel series in which he visited 13 countries. His podcast Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend is one of the most popular podcasts on iTunes with well over 427 million downloads since its premiere.

The podcast also resonates with Apple Podcast fans, maintaining a near-perfect five-star average from more than 50,000 reviews in addition to winning numerous awards, most of which I assume weren’t created by himself for himself.

Conan O’Brien Must Go is produced by Conaco and executive produced by Conan O’Brien and Jeff Ross.
