Mario Marathon Streams Games to Help Children in Hospitals

super_mario_bros.0Ever wish you could help kids with video games or streaming? Now you can. Mario Marathon kicks off today with their ninth marathon to raise funds for Child’s Play.

In total Mario Marathon has raised over $504,500 for Child’s Play. The more people donate the longer they have to play…

About Child’s Play

Since 2003, Child’s Play, a game industry charity dedicated to improving the lives of children in our network of over 100 hospitals worldwide with toys and games. Over the years, Child’s Play has answered the call and come together to raise millions of dollars.

Child’s Play works in two ways. With the help of hospital staff, they set up gift wish lists of video games, toys, books, and other fun stuff for kids. By clicking on a hospital location on the map on their website, you can view that hospital’s wish list and send a gift.

Child’s Play also receives cash donations throughout the year. With those donations, they purchase new consoles, peripherals, and games for hospitals and therapy facilities. These donations allow children to enjoy age-appropriate entertainment, interact with their peers, friends, and family, and provide a vital distraction from an otherwise unpleasant experience.
