Magnolia Selects Streaming Service Now Has a Roku Channel

If you’re a fan of independent movies, this new Roku channel is one you’ll want to check out.

Magnolia Pictures launched its streaming service, Magnolia Selects last year. Magnolia created the service to be a curated collection of films and series in every genre, from award winning documentaries to comedies to horrors and thrillers.

Before today, viewers could watch Magnolia Pictures content online through the Magnolia Selects website and on its Amazon Channel. By expanding the service to a Roku Channel, Magnolia Selects will now be reaching a wider audience than ever.

“Magnolia continues to be the home for many of today’s top indie filmmakers, and we continue to look at innovative ways to present these films to as wide of an audience as possible,” said Magnolia Pictures President Eamonn Bowles.

Many of the movies available through Magnolia Selects can’t be found on other streaming services. Look for movies including Iris, a documentary about fashion icon Iris Apfel, Melancholia starring Kirsten Dunst, and comedy favorite Tim & Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie.

Magnolia Selects is available for $4.99/month with a 7 day free trial.

For those who are interested in specific genres, Magnolia also offers genre channels for $2.99/month. Choose from categories including Warriors & Gangsters, Monsters & Nightmares, LOL Flicks, and DOX. Standalone apps for each of the genre channels are coming soon.
