‘Loki’ had 40% More Viewers its Opening Weekend Compared to New ‘Hawkeye’ Series

It seems like Marvel fans are playing favorites when it comes to the character series. Disney+ debuted its latest original MCU series just before the Thanksgiving weekend with the first episode reaching 1.5 million US households over the first five days, according to Samba TV. The second episode dropped off slightly with 1.3 million US households watching. However, that number is significantly lower than Loki’s viewership last summer.

Hawkeye’s premiere had 40% lower viewership than Loki’s in June which saw a whopping 2.5 million US households tune in over the first five days.

In addition, the Hawkeye premiere is still a bit behind previous MCU series debuts from this year aside from Loki. For comparison, The Falcon And The Winter Soldier debuted to 1.8 million US households earlier this spring, but that was over three days. In January, WandaVision reached 1.6 million homes over its 3-day premiere.

Hawkeye premiered Nov. 24, with Jeremy Renner returning to his role as Former Avenger Clint Barton. New episodes drop Wednesdays on Disney+.
