Locast Expands to Orlando, FL and Charlotte, NC

Locast, the streaming service for live local broadcasts, announced today that it has launched in Orlando, Florida and Charlotte, North Carolina.

In Orlando, Locast is bringing over 70 local channels to viewers, covering over 4 million residents in the greater Orlando area. This is the fourth Florida market for Locast, joining Miami, Tampa Bay, and West Palm Beach.

Local channels now available in Orlando include WESH NBC 2, WOFL FOX 35, WFTV ABC 9, WKMG CBS 6, PBS and PBS Kids as well as The Florida Channel, CourtTV, AntennaTV, Telemundo, Univision, Azteca America, Estrella TV, The CW, BOUNCE, Movies!, My Network TV, LAFF, Mystery, GRIT, ION, CometTV, True Crime, Charge!, and more.

Locast is accessible to viewers in nine counties in the Orlando-Daytona Beach-Melbourne DMA including Brevard, Flagler, Lake, Marion, Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Sumter, and Volusia.

In Charlotte, Locast is delivering over 45 channels that can reach over 3.2 million residents. The service will cover 22 counties including Alexander, Anson, Ashe, Avery, Burke, Cabarrus, Caldwell, Catawba, Cleveland, Gaston, Iredell, Lincoln, Mecklenburg, Richmond, Rowan, Stanly, Union, Watauga, and four counties in South Carolina: Chester, Chesterfield, Lancaster and York.

The 45 channels available in Charlotte include WCNC NBC 36, WJZY FOX 46, WSOC ABC 9, WBTV CBS 3, PBS and PBS Kids as well as CourtTV Mystery, AntennaTV, Telemundo, Circle, The CW, BOUNCE, Movies!, LAFF, Mystery, ION, GRIT, True Crime, Charge!, and more.

Locast is a free service (though you will frequently get notifications asking for a $5/month donation until you make a donation) and is run by the nonprofit advocacy organization Sports Fans Coalition. The service has over 2.3 million registered users.
