Locast Expands Its Local TV Service to Cleveland, OH

Locast announced its 30th market today and has brought live, local broadcast channels to the Cleveland, Ohio area. Viewers in the Cleveland market, which includes the cities of Akron, Ashland, Ashtabula, Canton, Mansfield and Sandusky, can now stream 70 local channels for free.

Locast offers local broadcast TV via the internet for free, though the service will frequently ask for a $5 donation until that donation is set up by the user. Locast says that offering the channels is a public service offering news, weather, sports, entertainment, and emergency information to viewers via internet connected devices.

The service is delivering 70 local channels in the Cleveland market, including WKYC NBC 3, WEWS ABC 5, WJW FOX 8, WOIO CBS 19, PBS and PBS Kids, as well as DABL, Univision, Azteca America, CourtTV, Mystery, MeTV, TrueCrime, QUBO, Circle, The CW, BOUNCE, Movies!, LAFF, COMET, cheddar, ION, GRIT, Charge!, and more.

Locast is accessible to viewers in 17 counties in the Cleveland area including Ashland, Ashtabula, Carroll, Cuyahoga, Erie, Geauga, Holmes, Huron, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage, Richland, Stark, Summit, Tuscarawas, and Wayne.
