Live TV Services Like DIRECTV NOW Are Becoming More Popular With Cord Cutters

It looks like it’s a good time to be an owner of a live TV streaming service such as DIRECTV NOW, Sling TV, PlayStation Vue, and Hulu.

According to the Cord Cutters News Fall 2017 survey of our readers, there has been a huge jump in the number of cord cutters subscribing to these services.

Back in June 2017 during our Summer 2017 survey, 66.3% of cord cutters subscribed to a live TV streaming service. Now that number has jumped to 73.6% of cord cutters subscribing to a live TV service such as DIRECTV NOW, Sling TV, PlayStation Vue, Hulu, and fuboTV.

While the survey did show cord cutters are subscribing to live TV services at a growing rate, there seems to be some burnout when it comes to newer live TV services.

According to the survey, 90% of cord cutters have no interest in the new or recently rumored live TV streaming services. This may suggest that the market is getting close to the saturation point or that the new live TV streaming services have yet to offer something that is attracting the interest of cord cutters.

So what do you think? Are we becoming overly saturated with live TV streaming services or is there something you are waiting for before you are willing to switch services?
