Kanopy Aims To Raise Opioid Awareness With New Documentary

Kanopy - Thoughtful EntertainmentThe free streaming service Kanopy has partnered with Turner Publishing to raise awareness of the ongoing opioid crisis with filmmaker and author Harry Wiland’s investigative miniseries “Do No Harm: The Opioid Epidemic.”

A crisis that has claimed 300,000 lives since 2000 and caused 90 overdose fatalities every day – equating to eight lives every hour – the “Do No Harm” series conducts an extensive investigation into the beginning of this public health catastrophe, its geo-epicenter and what can be done to reverse its deadly impact.

The series dives into the worst man-made epidemic of our time and investigates the role Big Pharma companies played in its widespread reach. “Do No Harm” showcases those who have been severely affected by prescription drug abuse and overdose.

Kanopy is a free streaming service offered through universities and public libraries that specializes in ‘thoughtful entertainment.’ It’s a great, ad-free resource for cord cutters who love movies, especially classics and world cinema.
