JustWatch Launches Apps for Apple TV, Fire TV, and Android TV

JustWatch, known for their web based and mobile streaming guide, will now be available on TVs. The company has created apps for Apple TV, Fire TV, and Android TV.

The streaming guide works by allowing users to search for a movie or TV show and generating a list of which streaming services the content is available on. The list includes Amazon, Netflix, Disney+, and many more.

For example, searching for “Elf” shows that the holiday movie is available for those with a fuboTV or Sling subscription, along with being available to rent or buy from Amazon, Vudu, Redbox, and more.

You can also create an account through JustWatch, let them know some of your favorite shows and movies, and select the services you’re subscribed to. You’ll then get a personalized list of recommendations, showing content available through your subscriptions.

The company is also reportedly working on a watch list which will allow users to keep track of which shows and movies they’ve watched across all of their streaming services.

“We were asked almost daily by our users when we would be launching JustWatch as a TV app,” said founder and CEO David Croyé in a statement. “Most of the over 10 million JustWatch users are streaming mainly on Smart TVs and many use streaming boxes or sticks.”

JustWatch is currently available in the US, Canada, Germany, and Australia. 30 more countries will be added soon.
