If You Lost Locals on DIRECTV NOW Here is How to Get Them Back

Watching tv and using remote controlHave you ever found all or most of your locals just gone from your DIRECTV NOW guide? Don’t worry. It is not just you but a glitch happening to many subscribers.

Recently the issue seems to be with the guide. Your locals are still streaming but depending on the device they may not show in the guide. The good news is you can still find them.

What you must do is use the search feature and enter the station’s call letters. Just entering ABC won’t work. You must enter something like WZZM for the ABC affiliate in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This will bring it up in the search box and allow you to start watching the stream.

The other trick is from Apple TV users. You need to turn on your location permissions in the Apple TV settings. Recently DIRECTV NOW added a requirement for location services to be turned on. This allows them to use the physical location of your box for locals instead of the ISP IP that is often incorrect.

If you still can not find your locals, you will need to wait on hold with DIRECTV NOW chat support.
