Hulu’s On-Demand Service Now Lets You Stream on Multiple Devices At the Same Time

Today Hulu officially announced that they have increased the number of streams they allow at the same time. In the past, Hulu officially only allowed one stream with on-demand but didn’t always enforce that rule. Now Hulu has announced they have upped the stream limit from one screen to two screens at the same time.

In a statement posted on their website, Hulu said: “Can’t agree on what to watch? No problem! Hulu subscribers are able to stream from two different screens at one time. While you catch up on last night’s episodes in one room, the rest of the family can settle in for a movie night in another — no more fighting over the remote. ”

This update is only for Hulu’s on-demand service. Live TV subscribers always had access to two screens at once. If you want more streams at once with live TV you can add the Unlimited Screens add-on to Hulu’s live TV streaming service.

Also, Hulu adds that none of this applies to their add-ons for HBO, Cinemax, SHOWTIME and/or STARZ on Hulu. These premium networks can only be streamed simultaneously on five screens — three of which can be out-of-home mobile devices even if you have Hulu with live TV’s unlimited plan.
