Hulu’s Free Content is Coming to Mobile Devices, But With a Catch…

family-guy-2Hulu recently announced that they will be moving their free content from Hulu’s website to a new Yahoo service called Yahoo View. The deal is already done, and you will no longer find free content on Hulu. Unless you are willing to pay for Hulu you will now have to head over to Yahoo View.

Yahoo will be doing something that many have wished Hulu would have done. They are coming out with a mobile app for phones and tablets to allow people to steam Yahoo View content including content that used to be free on Hulu.

The only catch is the mobile app will only have clips—no full episodes. If you want full shows on your mobile device, you will need to pay for Hulu. Even with the limitation of no full episodes, there is still a ton of great content on Yahoo View.

Yahoo View has all the free clips Hulu has plus deals with other sites such as People.com, EW, and New York Magazine. You will find clips for news, sports, and celebrity stories and even comedy routines on top in addition to the typical show clips.

You can still access full episodes of shows for networks such as ABC, FOX, and NBC 8 days after they air.
