Hulu’s Disney+ Add-On Is Dead — Here Are Your Options for Bundling Services Now

In a move that has changed the way millions of cord cutters watch the content that they love, Disney has made a major shakeup to its streaming lineup.

Earlier this week, Disney ended the option for Hulu subscribers get Disney+ as a discounted add-on. Customers using that setup started losing access when the add-on was canceled beginning December 9, leaving many searching for a pathway to stream Disney+’s large library of content.

The move comes as Disney is also consolidating its streaming options, with Hulu being folded into a unified Disney+ experience in 2026. As the company steers customers toward Disney+-centric bundles instead of the reverse add-on, here are the different bundles or subscriptions for Hulu subscribers to keep streaming Disney+ content.

Options Within the Disney Ecosystem

The easiest path to keep all your shows, movies, and sports in one place is by staying inside the Disney family of apps with Disney+, ESPN Unlimited, or Hulu + Live TV.

Switch to a Disney+-centered bundle

Disney is directing affected Hulu customers to sign up for Disney+ bundles that include Hulu (and optional ESPN or HBO Max). Those bundles let you manage billing in Disney+ instead of Hulu and preserve access to both catalogs. Here are the plans you can choose from:

Save When You Bundle Hulu & Disney+ with ESPN

If you watch sports plus the Disney and Hulu libraries, the ESPN three-service bundle is usually the simplest one-bill option and may be cheaper than buying everything separately.

With ESPN Select, you get access to ESPN+ programming, but it doesn’t include the full suite of ESPN live TV channels. The ESPN Unlimited plan gives you all ESPN networks and services, with premium events that complete the ESPN experience in one place.

Usually, the ESPN Unlimited, Disney+, Hulu Bundle goes for $35.99 per month, but for a limited time, you lock in the first year for $29.99 per month. The intro offer is a savings of over 44% on live sports, originals, and thousands of hours of entertainment.

Other Ways to Stream Hulu & Disney+

If you prefer to keep billing through a provider, or want one bill for more than streaming, several big providers still sell packages that include Disney+ and Hulu access.

As Disney prepares for the New Year, the company is simplifying how it sells access to its streaming services. With the old Hulu-first Disney+ add-on gone and plans for Hulu’s standalone app being folded into Disney+ in the coming months, now is the time to switch for uninterrupted access. Hulu subscribers can move into a Disney+ bundle now, or arrange the same access through a provider like Verizon or DIRECTV.
