Hulu Will Add Voice Support for Google Devices

google smart devicesThis week, Hulu was added to the list of services supporting voice commands with Google devices, including Chromecast and Google Home speakers.

With this update, Hulu users will be able to access and control content on Google devices with voice commands. Hulu is joining the list of Google content partners which also includes Netflix, CBS All Access, Crackle, Starz, and more. (You can find the full list on this Google support page.)

Android Police reached out to Google to ask when the feature will be available for all users and confirmed that it will be rolling out over the next few days. Google offered this statement.

“Hulu subscribers can now ask their Google Assistant to play thousands of hit TV shows and movies from their basic subscription catalog on their Chromecasts, Chromecast built-in devices, and smart displays like Nest Hub and Nest Hub Max. Just say ‘Hey Google, watch (pick your favorite show) on Hulu’ and instantly start watching.”

To get started, use the Google Home app. Choose Settings then TV & Video, and look for Link next to the Hulu icon that will be available soon. The app will walk you through the process of getting set up and connecting Hulu to your Google Home devices and Chromecast.
