Hulu Releases a New Trailer for Ron Howards Documentary “The Beatles: Eight Days A Week”

The Beatles: Eight Days A Week – The Touring Years Trailer 2 • Hulu

With never before seen footage, Ron Howard chronicles The Beatles’ vital, transformative touring years. It’s the band you know. The story you don’t.

Focusing on the iconic band’s travels and performances from 1962 to 1966, the Ron Howard documentary includes rare and exclusive footage (including The Beatles’ August 15, 1965 concert at Shea Stadium in New York City) that has been approved by the surviving band members and their estates. Paul McCartney is even seen reminiscing about those unforgettable days in the new clip. The Beatles: Eight Days A Week – The Touring Years will premiere in theaters on September 16 and debut on Hulu just one day later.

“We can now sync it up and create a concert experience so immersive and so engaging,” Howard told Rolling Stone in 2014, “I believe you’re going to actually feel like you’re somewhere in the Sixties, seeing what it was like to be there, feeling it and hearing it.”

The film’s release will coincide with an updated, remastered version of Live at the Hollywood Bowl, which originally was released in 1977. The album contains an entirely different tracklist from the original disc, plus four previously unreleased live cuts. Like the original album, the updated release is compiled from the Beatles’ two live performances at the Hollywood Bowl in August 1964 and August 1965.
