Hulu Now Offers All Four Major Locals in Nearly 50% Of United States

Today Hulu announced that they have topped 521 locals including ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC on their live TV streaming service. With these new affiliates, Hulu now offers ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC in nearly 50% of all US TV households. This gives Hulu a solid lead over their competitors including DIRECTV NOW, YouTube TV, PlayStation Vue, etc when looking at a number of locals.

Hulu went on to say that they will be adding additional affiliates in the “next few weeks.” This will continue to help Hulu keep their lead in locals over their competitors.

This all comes a few days after we learned that  Hulu’s live TV streaming service now has 450,000+ live TV subscribers according to CNBC. Earlier this month Hulu also announced they have topped 17 million total subscribers their on-demand service.

Hulu also recently announced a partnership with NBC to cover the Winter Olympics. With this partnership, Hulu subscribers will have full access to NBC’s coverage of the Winter Olympics both live and on demand. Not only will you get access to the events but for some smaller sports the on-demand version will appear before it airs on a cable network.

To top it all off Hulu will also allow you to customize your 2018 Winter Olympics. You will now be able to pick just the events you want to watch and skip the rest. You will even find categories for additional behind-the-scenes coverage of the 2018 Winter Olympics.
