Hulu Looking to Team Up with Time Warner

HuluSo in what may be some of the strangest bed fellows in the world Disney, Comcast, and Fox are now looking to team up with Time Warner as equal partners in Hulu.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Hulu and Time Warner are in talks about having Time Warner buy into Hulu in a deal—said to be a “long-term strategy” for Hulu and Time Warner—that would value Hulu at about 5 billion US dollars.

Currently Disney, Fox, and Comcast are pouring $750 million dollars into Hulu after taking Hulu off the sales block in 2013. Since Hulu came off the market, they have gone on a huge buying spree picking up content. This deal with Time Warner could bring TNT, TBS, Cartoon Network, and TruTV shows to Hulu.

A partnership with Time Warner really could make Hulu a must-have for cord cutters because Time Warner content is the biggest missing piece that would make Hulu a possible cable replacement for many.

Only time will tell, but typically when word of deals like this start to leak it signals an official announcement may be right around the corner. Hopefully cord cutters may get even more options to watch their favorite shows as they enjoy cord cutting.
