Hulu is Celebrating Community Service Week With Hulupalooza

This week Hulu announced that they will hold their first-ever national volunteer initiative – Hulupalooza – a week-long effort bringing together the company’s 7 U.S. offices in 6 states reaching more than 20 different organizations nationwide. Hulu has teamed up with local organizations in various cities across the country to give back to the communities they live in.

Hulu has announced that on Friday, approximately 1,100 employees at the company’s Santa Monica headquarters will volunteer more than 3,000 hours of community service – from beautifying the campus of a local elementary school, to ecosystem restoration at Dockweiler Beach and the LA River to reading activities with local youth.

“Our national week of volunteering provides a meaningful opportunity for Hulugans across the country to give back to the cities we call home,” said Jim O’Gorman, SVP, Talent & Organization, Hulu. “We believe that character matters both inside and outside of the office, so we take pride in being active members in our local communities this week and year-round through Hulu’s ongoing volunteer projects.”

Throughout the week, an additional 700 Hulu employees will volunteer across six other cities including Chicago, Detroit, New York, San Antonio, San Francisco and Seattle. The philanthropic week is reflective of the company’s unique culture that is guided by a set of core values including – We Are One Team and Character Matters. A Lot.
