Hulu is Adding 4K Support to the Amazon Fire TV, Xbox One, & LG WebOS

The Handmaids Tale HuluToday Hulu announced that they are adding 4K support to the Xbox One starting today and will be adding 4K Support to the Amazon Fire TV and LG WebOS devices this week. In the past, 4K support on Hulu was limited to the Apple TV 4K or the Chromecast Ultra. (Hopefully more devices like Roku will be added soon.)

Right now several newer Hulu Originals like the Handmaid’s Tale are available in 4K. Here is how Hulu describes their 4K offering:

“While Hulu’s library of HD and 4K Ultra HD supported content continues to grow, at this time, it’s limited to a select list of programming, like all Hulu Originals. HD programming can be watched on most supported devices with the latest Hulu app.”

There are also speed requirements for Hulu’s 4K streaming. Here are the speeds Hulu says you need in order to stream at different resolutions:
