Hulu Has Reportedly Hit 2 Million Live TV Subscribers

Earlier this year we learned that Hulu had likely hit 1.7 million subscribers. Now Bloomberg is reporting that according to their sources Hulu is now closer to 2 million subscribers. This would firmly make Hulu the second largest live TV streaming services just behinds Sling TVs 2.3 million subscribers.

Hulu has been using their large on-demand subscriber base to push their live TV streaming services. So far that seems to be paying off for them at least according to Bloomberg. These numbers are not confirmed through but come from “people with knowledge of the matter.”

Hulu has also recently announced that they will be rolling out a new user interface with a more traditional gride guide for their live TV streaming services among other changes. This seems to be an effort to address many of the complaints about their live TV streaming service.

Sling TV is not backing down though as just this week they launched a 3-month deal for just $15 a month for the Sling Orange and Sling Blue packages. Want both Sling Orange and Sling Blue? Right now, you can get both for just $25 a month for the first 3 months. This offer comes just in time for the start of March Madness a time of the year when live TV streaming services often see a huge jump in subscribers.
