Heading into Halloween weekend is a contested battle in the Friday Night Wars between WWE and AEW. Tonight, WWE SmackDown and AEW Rampage will be going head-to-head after competing against each other for the first time earlier this month.

As we reported earlier, WWE SmackDown will be airing a double encore presentation of tonight’s episode directly following the live airing. Tonight’s show will take place at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, and will usher in a new era of the show. The match card hasn’t been announced but there will be follow up’s to last week’s confrontations between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar, and Becky Lynch, Charlotte, and Sasha Banks.

Tonight’s AEW Rampage will take place at the Agganis Arena in Boston, Massachusetts, and will feature 3 explosive matches during the hour-long show. Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D will defend her AEW Women’s World Championship against Abadon in a Trick or Treat No Disqualification match. In the Semi-Finals of the AEW World Championship Eliminator Tournament, the “American Dragon” Bryan Danielson will square off with Eddie Kingston. In their third contest, highflyers Matt Sydal and Dante Martin (w/ Lio Rush) will settle their differences inside of the ring.
