Excited Sports Fans Cheering at TV

Live MMA fighting has returned to the Prudential Center in New Jersey with UFC 288: Sterling vs. Cejudo. 14 fights will take place inside the Octagon, with Aljamain Sterling defending his Bantamweight championship against former two-division champ Henry Cejudo.

At 22-3, “Funk Master” Aljamain Sterling is on an 8-fight winning streak with 11 of his career wins coming by knockout or submission. The Funk Mater fights out of Uniondale, New York, and is defending his title for the third time. The Bantamweight division is credited as the UFC’s toughest division and the winner of the fight will likely defend against Sean O’Malley next.

Former UFC Flyweight and Bantamweight champion “Triple C” Henry Cejudo is 16-2 inside of the Octagon. He’s a 2008 Olympic Gold medalist in Freestyle Wrestling and is fighting in the UFC for the first time since retiring at UFC 249 in May 2020. The former double champion is the fourth fighter to achieve the feat in the UFC and he was the 7th multi-division champion in UFC history.
