How to Watch the Sesame Street ‘Coming Together’ Town Hall on Saturday

Sesame Street cast

In lieu of recent turmoil and events around the country, CNN and Sesame Street are hosting a virtual town hall to address equality. “Coming Together: Standing Up to Racism. A CNN/Sesame Street Town Hall for Kids and Families” is a 60-minute special that will air Saturday, June 6, at 10 a.m. ET.

The special will address the current events and riots in a way that’s easy to understand and geared toward children n hopes to educated and inform families of the problem at hand. Favorite Sesame Street characters like Big Bird, Elmo, Abby Cadabby, and more will join CNN broadcast personalities Van Jones and Erica Hill in answering user-submitted questions about racism, justice, and equality.

Parents with questions about how to address these important issues and embracing diversity with their children can submit their inquiries to CNN to be answered during the special. Kids can also submit any questions they may have about the ongoing protests and racism.

You can submit your questions here.

This is the second town hall Sesame Street and CNN have hosted. The first one back in April addressed the COVID-19 crisis and touched on topics like how to wash your hands, why facemasks are important, dealing with big feelings, tips for staying healthy, and how to handle spending so much time at home.
