How to Watch the MLB Opening Day 2020

sports fans cheering

The Major League Baseball season may have been delayed, but it’s back with a lineup of games to kick off opening day starting this Thursday, July 23. Select games will be aired on ESPN and MLB Network. This year, the season will be trimmed down to 60 games that will all be completely regional, with no packed stadiums full of fans. Luckily, you can still watch at home with a variety of options.

How to Watch the MLB Season Opener Games on ESPN and MLB Network

Six of the games will air on ESPN or MLB Network.

Hulu With Live TV carries both ESPN and MLB Network. Pricing starts at $54.99 per month after the 7-day free trial

Sling TV carries ESPN and MLB Network with both its Blue and Orange packages that start at $30 per month. Get a 3-day free trial here.

fuboTV now carries MLB Network with its Sports Plus package starting this week, just in time for Opening Day. Sign up for a free trial here. FuboTV will be getting ESPN later this summer on August 1.

YouTubeTV also has both MLB Network and ESPN included in its TV Package starting at $64.99 a month and offers a 7-day free trial.

AT&T TV Now carries ESPN in both its Plus and Max packages starting at $55 per month

How to Watch In-Market and Out-of-Market Games

All games will be available on MLB.TV – local and national blackout restrictions apply; be sure to enter your zip code to check the blackout games in your area. This season, MLB.TV costs $24.99 per month, $59.99 per year, or $49.99 for the out of market games of a single team. The app is available for Roku, Amazon Fire TV, iOS, Android, Android TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Samsung. MLB.TV is free for T-Mobile and Sprint customers with T-Mobile Tuesdays.

For in-market games, you’ll need a service with your local RSN. Unfortunately, for some teams, RSNs are not available on a streaming service. Those teams and networks include: the Baltimore Orioles (MASN), Colorado Rockies (AT&T Sports Rocky Mountain), Pittsburgh Pirates (AT&T SportsNet Pittsburgh), Seattle Mariners (ROOT Sports Northwest) and Washington Nationals (MASN).

The rest of the teams, networks, and streaming services offering those networks are listed below:
