The college football regular season is winding down and teams are competing to lock in their spot for the first 12-team playoff. Tonight teams will know where they stand as the initial rankings will be unveiled for the 11th edition of the CFP.
Heading into tonight’s show, Oregon was unanimously ranked as the nation’s best team in the AP Top 25. With No. 2 Georgia, No. 3 Ohio State, No. 4 Miami, No. 5 Texas, No. 6 Penn State, No. 7 Tennessee, No. 8 Indiana, No. 9 BYU, and No. 10 Notre Dame rounding out the Top 10.
The CFP Selection Committee is made up of former players, coaches, athletic directors and media members. They will use data from the AP and Coaches polls, strength of schedules and performances to determine where teams are ranked ahead of postseason competition.

When to Watch
