Music’s most legendary names will be enshrined at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. There will be 13 acts inducted at this year’s ceremony in what many are calling the most diverse class to date. To meet qualification requirements all of the following artists had to have released their first record 25 years prior to induction.
2021 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductees
- Performers: Tina Turner, Carole King, The Go-Gos, Jay-Z, Foo Fighters and Todd Rundgren
- Early Influence Award: Kraftwerk, Charley Patton and Gil Scott-Heron
- Musical Influence Award: LL Cool J, Billy Preston and Randy Rhoads
- Ahmet Ertegun Award: Clarence Avant
Tina Turner will be inducted by Angela Bassett, who played the “Queen of Rock n’ Roll” in the 1993 hit film What’s Love Got To Do With It. Drew Barrymore will be inducting The Go-Gos, and Taylor Swift will induct Carole King, while Paul McCartney will be inducting the Foo Fighters. Jay-Z will be inducted by comedian Dave Chappelle and Patti Smith will induct Todd Rundgren.
Saturday’s show will feature performances by some of music’s biggest names. Christina Aguilera, Mickey Guyton, H.E.R., Taylor Swift, and Jennifer Hudson are some of the names that will be hitting the stage.
