How to Watch Panthers vs. Oilers Game 1 Live on Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV & More on June 4 | 2025 Stanley Cup Final

Who doesn’t love sequels? This year’s Stanley Cup Final is a rematch from last year when the Edmonton Oilers take on the Florida Panthers, streaming live on Max. The Panthers were victorious in last year’s championship series, raising Lord Stanley after the Oilers came back from a 3-0 deficit to force a Game 7 and lose by a goal.

After defeating the Dallas Stars to advance in the playoffs, the Oilers are looking to win their sixth Stanley Cup title. With historic legends of the game, “The Great One” Wayne Gretzky and Mark Messier, the Oilers won five championships in the 1980s. The present-day team is led by the trio of Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, and Zach Hyman, who are looking to bring the Cup home to Canada for the first time this century after the Montreal Canadiens won in 1993.

For the fourth time in their franchise history, the Florida Panthers are competing for a Stanley Cup. After making quick work of the Hurricanes in the ECF, the defending champions are looking to hoist Lord Stanley for the second time. This is the third-straight year that the IceCats have made it to the Cup Final, led by the trio of Aleksander Barkov, Matthew Tkachuk and Sam Reinhart.

Head-to-head, these teams have clashed 51 times, with Edmonton holding a slim 26–22–3 lead. Florida has flipped the script recently, winning five straight matchups, including both regular-season battles this year. This series will either end the drought of glory that has left Canada dry with many fans gingerly ailing, or be the beginning of a dynasty in the Sunshine State; coincidentally, the last NHL dynasty was the Oilers of the 80s.

Here’s how to watch the Stanley Cup Final live without cable.
