How to Watch NFL Wildcard Games Without Cable on Sunday, January 16, 2022

nfl football

After an exciting Wildcard Saturday, the 2022 NFL Playoffs continue with a stacked 3-game lineup. The defending Super Bowl champions, the NFC East champions, and the defending AFC champions take the field in what is expected to be an explosive day filled with hard-hitting games where the losers go home.

The 9-8 Philadelphia Eagles travel to Raymond James Stadium to take on Tom Brady and the defending Super Bowl champion 13-4 Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Earlier in the season, these two teams faced off in a Week 6 matchup for the ages. The Bucs won 28-22 in Philadelphia but the Eagles will be looking to avenge that loss during the Wildcard contest. Both teams finished the season on a hot streak by winning 4 of their last 5.

NFL football returns to Nickelodeon when the 12-5 Dallas Cowboys welcome the 10-7 San Francisco 49ers to AT&T Stadium. Last year’s Wildcard game on Nick was an exciting contest that featured SpongeBob, slime, and the best the children’s network had to offer. Like last year, this year’s game will have a traditional broadcast on CBS featuring Jim Nantz and Tony Romo. Noah Eagle, Nate Burleson, and Gabrielle Nevaeh Green are returning for the Nick broadcast for the second consecutive year.

The night game is a Week 16 rematch between the defending AFC and AFC West champion Kansas City Chiefs (12-5) and the 9-7-1 Pittsburgh Steelers. When these two teams collided in Week 16, the Chiefs won convincingly 36-10. The Steelers backed their way into the playoffs and have looked like the worst team remaining. Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger may be playing his last game but he’ll have to leave it all on the field if he wants to advance to the next round and lead one of the biggest upsets in NFL history.

How to Watch NFL Wildcard Sunday Without Cable

Fans will have plenty of options to watch all their favorite NFL teams and stars compete on the gridiron without spending a fortune.

AntennaWeb is a great tool you can use to find out which affiliate in your area will broadcast Sunday’s games on CBS, FOX, and NBC.

Select games are available to stream through NFL digital properties such as NFL.com, the NFL app, and the digital properties of the respective teams. Plus, fans can watch the game on their phones via the Yahoo Sports app.

Most of the major subscription live TV streaming services carry this week’s games, so fans can watch the game from anywhere.

Predicting the Winners

Sunday will be a day filled with upsets as the Eagles, 49ers, and Chiefs advance to the Divisional round. Ben Roethlisberger has had a storied career and will get a yellow jack in Canton one day but the Chiefs offense will be too much for Pittsburgh to handle.

As for the reigning and defending Super Bowl champions, this has been a tumultuous year after losing WR Chris Godwin, the Bucs lost former All-Pro WR Antonio Brown. QB Tom Brady has hinted at retiring at the end of the season and the Eagles may be able to expedite that process for him.
