Disney’s photorealistic ‘Lion King’ prequel ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ came to theaters in December 2024. For those who have been waiting to watch at home, you can now rent or buy the title and stream it from the comfort of your living room.

What is Mufasa: The Lion King About?
The new Lion King movie follows the beloved king of the Pride Lands during his journey from an orphan to the leader of the land. Rafiki narrates the story, told in a series of flashbacks to Simba and Nala’s daughter Kiara. Rafiki tells Kiara about how Mufasa, as an orphaned cub, meets the sympathetic Taka, an heir to the royal bloodline. The two form a group of friends who work together to fight against threats and search for their destiny.
