A WNBA Commissioner’s Cup champion will be crowned for the fourth time in league history. The 2024 Commissioner’s Cup presented by Coinbase in UBS Arena in Elmont, New York will see the New York Liberty host the Minnesota Lynx live on Prime Video.
Tonight’s game won’t reflect either team’s win or loss record, but money is on the line for each team. During the Commissioner’s Cup series, each team in the WNBA represents a charity that will receive a donation from the league. In the championship game, Gender Justice and Women Creating Charge will be represented by the Lynx and Liberty, respectively.
On top of the charitable donation, tonight’s winning team will leave the UBS Arena with a $500,000 prize pool. Sponsored by Coinbase, there will also be an additional $120,000 in cryptocurrency to the prize pool, which includes $5,000 for each player in the championship game.
