Disney’s latest family comedy Cheaper by the Dozen tells a classic story for a modern audience. Based on the 1948 novel of the same name by Frank Bunker Gilbreth Jr. and his sister Ernestine Gilbreth Carey, which tells a semi-autobiographical account of their lives, the 2022 film is the second remake of the 1950 film and tells the story of two parents with many children from previous marriages.

Directed by Gail Lerner, the film was co-written by Keny Barris and Jenifer Rice-Genzuk Henry. Gabrielle Union and Zach Braff star as the parents Zoe and Paul Baker, respectively. Set in New Jersey, the Bakers manage a family business in New Jersey.
