A step-by-step guide to watching Apple TV+ on Roku devices 

Getting started with Apple TV+ on your Roku device is easy — even if you don’t have Apple TV+ yet. Here are five easy steps to watching the Apple TV+ on Roku. 

1. Sign up for Apple TV+

You can sign up for Apple TV+ on any Apple device — the app comes standard on iPhones and iPads. You can even use an existing Apple ID to sign up and pay using your existing app payment source. If you don’t have an Apple phone or tablet, navigate to tv.apple.com on any web browser. Click “Start your free trial” and follow the prompts to create an account and provide payment information. You will have one free week before you’re charged for the first month of service. 

2. Run your Roku device

Fire up your Roku device and go to the home screen. If your Roku is also brand new, follow the instructions for connecting your Roku to your home internet network (you will need your home’s wi-fi password for this). Then go to the Roku home screen. 

3. Add Apple TV+ to your Roku service

Use the voice control on your remote to say “Apple TV Plus.” Or, go to the Menu screen and then choose “Streaming Channels” to search for Apple TV+. Either way, once you are on the Apple TV+ screen, you just need to click “Add Channel” to begin the download. The app will automatically be added to your Roku channel list and home screen. 

4. Open the Apple TV+ app on Roku

Go to the Roku home screen and click on the new Apple TV+ logo in black and white. The first time you click it, you will be asked for your Apple ID credentials. After that, you will remain logged in unless you need to update your password. 

5. Find your favorite programs

Open Apple TV+ and use your remote to find your favorite programs, including comedy, drama, and documentaries. You can also use the Roku voice control on compatible remotes within the Apple TV+ app to find a specific program. For instance, say “Watch episode 1 of Defending Jacob.
