How to Watch ABC, CBS, FOX, & NBC on Roku, Fire TV, & Apple TV without an Antenna

Locals are some of the most watched channels on cable TV. For many people they can just get an antenna to watch their local ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC, but for others an antenna is not an option. You may live in an area where the reception is poor or the building you live in may block the signal.

The good news is cord cutters now have many different options to get locals without an antenna on streaming players like Roku, Fire TV, and the Apple TV.

The first option is a paid service like Hulu and AT&T TV NOW. Here are the networks that offer locals:

CBS*   X X X X
FOX* X* X X X X X
NBC* X X X X X
CW*   X X X X

A Free Option*Not all locals are available in all markets.

If you are fortunate enough to live in one of the handful of markets that Locast supports, you may want to check it out. Locast offers locals for free streamed to different streaming players like Fire TV, Roku, and Apple TV.

What if you just want news?

If all you want is local news, there are many different options out there. For example, there is NewsON and STIRR that stream local news from a growing list of providers in a single spot. Also look to see if your local TV station has an app on your favorite streaming player. Increasingly local stations have dedicated apps that give you live and on-demand access to local sports.

There you go… a quick guide on how to watch your locals live on your favorite streaming player.
