The road to the 2023 NBA Playoffs begins with the 2023 NBA Play-In Tournament. 8 teams will compete for a chance to lock their spot into the playoffs.

In the Western Conference, the #7 LA Lakers (43-39) take on the #8 Minnesota Timberwolves (42-40) with the winner locking up the 7th seed in the conference. The #9 New Orleans Pelicans (42-40) will take on the #10 Oklahoma City Thunder (40-42) with the loser going home and the winner facing the loser of Lakers/Wolves for the 8th seed.

Out in the Eastern Conference, Southeast Division foes will compete for the 7th seed when the #7 Miami Heat (44-38) host the #8 Atlanta Hawks (41-41). In the loser goes home game, the #10 Chicago Bulls (40-42) host the #9 Toronto Raptors (41-41), with the winner facing the loser of Heat/Hawks for the final playoff spot.
