About ‘West Side Story’
A new set of actors from theater and film, alongside talented singers and dancers, came together to bring a new adaptation of the well known stage musical West Side Story to the big screen in 2021.
West Side Story tells the classic tale of fierce rivalries and young love in 1957 New York City. Tony and Maria spot each other at a high school dance in 1957 New York City. Their romance fuels the fire between two rival gangs, the Sharks and the Jets, who fight for control of the streets.
