This offer applies to any new iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV, or Mac capable of running the latest iOS, iPadOS, tvOS, or macOS purchased after September 10, 2019. You’ll have three months after activating the new device to take part in the offer.
Starting on November 1 when Apple TV+ launches, you’ll be able to start your free year with the Apple TV app. You’ll need to sign in on your new device, so have it ready and follow these instructions to get started.
- Turn on your new iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV 4K or Apple TV HD, or Mac and sign in with your Apple ID.
- Open the Apple TV app on November 1 or later. Make sure your eligible device is running the latest version of iOS, iPadOS, tvOS, or macOS.
- The offer should be presented immediately after launching the app. If not, scroll down in Watch Now until the offer appears.
- Tap “Enjoy 1 Year Free.” You might be asked to enter your Apple ID password, confirm your billing information, or add a valid payment method. You will not be charged during the 1 year free trial.
Keep in mind that this is a limited-time deal. You can only redeem the offer one time from each unique Apple ID or one time per family if you’re using the Family Sharing plan. Up to 6 family members can share one Apple TV+ subscription through Family Sharing.
After the free year, you’ll be automatically enrolled in a subscription to Apple TV+ for $4.99/month. You can cancel at any time through the Settings on your device. Be sure to cancel at least a day before the next renewal date to avoid charges.
