How to Add Twitch to Your Roku Player & Roku TV

In 2017, Amazon removed the official Twitch app from the Roku Channel Store. If you already had it installed you could keep it, but new Roku owners would not be able to add it. Now the unofficial Twitch app has also been removed from the Roku Channel Store.

The good news is there is still a way to add Twitch to your Roku Player and Roku TV thanks to an unofficial Roku Channel.

How to Add Twitch to Your Roku Player and Roku TV

If you would like to add a Roku, click HERE. After you click the link, you will be asked to sign in to your Roku account (unless you are already logged in). There you will be shown a warning about adding unofficial apps. Once that happens, you will be offered a chance to install Twitch on your Roku Player or Roku TV.

(If that link is not working for you try using code TwitchTV. To add the Twitch Unofficial Roku Channel to your Roku you first need to go to https://my.roku.com/ and click on the “Add Channel With a Code” option about halfway down the page. Once there you will need to enter the code TwitchTV and select the add channel button.)

It is important to remember that unofficial Roku Channels can lose support at any time. It is also possible that since this Roku Channel is not being updated any more that at any time it could stop working.
