How Fast Is the Average Speed of Comcast’s Xfinity Internet?

Comcast Cable Truck

Thinking of getting Comcast’s Xfinity Internet service? Wondering what real speeds you can expect? Today we are going to breakdown what you should expect from Comcast Xfinity Internet.

Ookla released its fourth quarter 2023 Speedtest Intelligence Report looking at Internet performance across multiple Internet providers. According to that report, Comcast’s Xfinity Internet had a median speed of 238.90 Mbps in all locations with a median upload speed of 22.89 Mbps.

Remember: That is the median speed of all the Internet packages with different speeds that Comcast offers. This includes speeds (where we are located) of 75 Mbps down all the way to 2,000 Mbps. (Please remember speeds will vary depending on where you live with speeds up to 10,000 Mbps offered in some areas.) The Ookla report gives us a good idea of what speeds most Comcast customers are getting.

The good news is even at 238.90 Mbps you can easily stream multiple 4K streams at once. Only 20 Mbps is needed for a 4K stream from Netflix and allows subscribers to easily watch multiple shows at once.
