Hotels Are Becoming More Cord Cutting Friendly

Traveling as a cord cutter can often remind you why you ditched cable in the first place. Whether it be the ads or the limited content selection, it is hard to give up your Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon as you travel.

Now it seems hotels are taking notice of the trend away from traditional TV and move toward streaming. Marriot is leading the way in this, but many other hotels are joining in.

Now when you check in to one of hundreds of hotels you will find the new Netflix 4.3 along with Hulu, YouTube, Pandora, and Crackle pre-installed and just waiting for you to log in. You will also find traditional cable TV channels and information about the hotel and surrounding areas.

Concerned that someone will use your info? The TVs are set to delete all log in info when you check out, or you can manually clear the data.

Here is a video I shot of the new system.

This system comes from Enseo and gives the same experience as you would find on Roku or a Fire TV.

Want to find a hotel with this system installed? Enseo has a website that allows you to see what hotels have access to its Enseo smart TV system for hotels.
