Host Netflix Watch Parties on Roku and Apple TV with ‘Watch With Friends’

Following the launch of watch party features on streaming services including Hulu, Prime Video, and Plex, another company is joining the party and making it easier to watch shows and movies with friends and family. Caavo, a Silicon Valley startup known for its universal remote control, has launched Watch With Friends.

Watch With Friends is a free app, currently available for iOS and Android in the US. With the app, you can stream Netflix content in sync with others using Roku or Apple TV devices, or with the Google Chrome browser. Just install the app on your phone and enter the name of the party. The app will detect your compatible device and play the show. With the built-in chat feature, you can keep up a conversation while you watch.

“At our core, Caavo is dedicated to finding new ways to unify entertainment for everyone in meaningful and accessible ways,” said Andrew Einaudi, co-founder and CEO of Caavo Inc. “We created Watch With Friends to make it easy to watch movies and shows together from nearly any device on the best screen in the home from different locations, all through a simple mobile app.”
