Hisense and Xumo have teamed up to launch Hisense Channels, a brand-new free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) service now rolling out on Hisense Google smart TVs. With more than 200 premium channels from providers like Scripps, Radial Entertainment, and Stingray, viewers can now access top-tier streaming content directly from the TV’s homepage. There are no subscriptions or downloads required.
The new service is part of a growing partnership between Hisense and Xumo, the streaming joint venture formed by Comcast and Charter Communications. Hisense Channels aims to simplify content discovery by offering immediate, built-in access to streaming entertainment.
A Major Milestone for Xumo
With this launch, Xumo’s enterprise platform now powers more than 2,000 FAST channels across over 30 global platforms, reinforcing its leadership in the growing FAST ecosystem.
Stefan Van Engen, Vice President of Content Partnerships at Xumo, called the launch “a seamless, high-quality entertainment experience that meets the evolving expectations of today’s TV audiences.” David Gold, President of Hisense USA, added, “We’re not only expanding the content offerings on our smart TVs, but also reinforcing our commitment to innovation and value.”
Hisense Channels is discoverable right from the homepage of Hisense Google TVs, with broader availability expected soon across additional models.
Integrated Streaming, No Strings Attached
This new service builds on the companies’ existing collaboration, including the development of Hisense Xumo TVs powered by Xumo’s own operating system. These TVs are designed to make streaming feel effortless by eliminating logins and app-hunting—users can just turn on the TV and start watching.
If you’re looking to expand your streaming setup, you can pair Hisense Channels with premium services like Apple TV+, Paramount+, or Peacock for a full mix of free and subscription-based entertainment.
Hisense Channels represents a shift in how we access streaming content—no apps, no barriers, and no extra cost. With Xumo powering the experience, and 200+ premium FAST channels built right into the homepage, the future of TV is looking a lot more plug-and-play.
Turn it on, and it’s already on.
