How to Hide Your Viewing History on Netflix and Amazon

KimmySo you want to watch 50 Shades of Grey but don’t want your kids or your mom to see it on your watch again list? We have good news for you. Netflix and Amazon both allow you to hide a show or movie you don’t want everyone to know about.

Netflix

If you want to hide a show or movie on Netflix, just go to My Account | Viewing History on a computer. There you can find a title and remove it from your list. Be advised that items aren’t always deleted immediately; it may take 24 hours for your lists to update on all devices.

Netflix also allows you to create multiple profiles, and you can create a personal profile and protect it with a password.

Go to your account settings from the top-right corner by clicking Your Account and navigating to Parental Controls. From here you can set your PIN and the age restriction for your content by dragging the cursor. Dragging it to older kids will allow only PG and 7+ content to be watched without a PIN.

Amazon Video

To remove your movies and TV shows from your history, go to your account settings and look for Personalization. Go to Personalized Content | View and Manage Your Browsing History. Here, you have a few options. You can remove only certain items or all items as well as turn off browsing history, so you never have this issue again.
