It’s a new year and Netflix has a fresh new slate of titles coming to the platform for your viewing enjoyment. There’s a good mix of originals as well as tried and true favorites sprinkled in throughout the month. For originals, be sure to check out season 2 of Dream Home Makeover, If you’re into home design. The Netflix original series features husband and wife design duo Studio McGee as they tackle home living spaces. Next, Nicolas Cage hosts the new docuseries History of Swear Words, breaking down the most popular colorful language and its impact in this “proudly profane, funny and engagingly educational series.” And explores the complex history of crack in the 1980s with the docuseries Crack: Cocaine, Corruption & Conspiracy premiering January 11.

And we have to congratulate Netflix for really diving into more international content. The streamer has been adding more and more international titles over the year, including popular Spanish series like Money Heist and Cable Girls. This month, Netflix is dropping its Norwegian film Asphalt Burning, and its own take on the French gentleman thief Lupin.

And keep an eye out for season 3 of Cobra Kai. The Karate Kid spinoff’s third season was originally supposed to drop on January 8, but the date is now TBD.
