Cord Cutters News

Here is The Cord Cutting & Apple TV News We Expect from Apple’s WWDC Keynote Tomorrow

Tomorrow Apple will hold its WWDC Keynote at 10 AM Pacific. According to reports, Apple will be announcing iOS 13, macOS 10.15, watchOS 6, and tvOS 13. Cord Cutters News will have full coverage of any cord cutting-related news to come from the event with a live blog post that we will update during the presentation.

We have heard reports that the HomePod will be updated, iTunes will be replaced by standalone apps, and several other upgrades are expected.

One of these updates that is expected is the official announcement of tvOS 13 for the Apple TV, but very little is known about it.

We do have reports that Apple may announce more services coming to the new Apple TV app that will let you subscribe directly through the Apple TV app. Beyond that very little is expected.

Things we hope to learn tomorrow:

We hope to learn about the AppleTV+ streaming service from Apple. First officially announced a few months ago, now little is known beyond a few partnerships for original shows. We still don’t know the pricing or what, if any, third-party content will be included. Hopefully, Apple will roll out more information about AppleTV+.

It has also been reported that iTunes will be retired and replaced with standalone apps. These apps will replace the current iTunes functions and still let you get access to your music, TV shows, and more. Hopefully, we will learn more about the future of iTunes.

Things we are not expecting:

We do not expect a new Apple TV to be announced. Typically, Apple announces new products like the Apple TV in the fall just in time for the Christmas season. We are on track for a new Apple TV but likely not until the fall of 2019.

There we go… what we expect from the Apple Keynote tomorrow. What would you like to see Apple announce? Leave a comment and let us know.
