Netflix earlier this month teased a list of the DC Extended Universe films coming to the streaming platform starting in December.

In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Netflix confirmed Man of Steel, Batman v. Superman, Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman, Justice League, Birds of Prey, Wonder Woman: 1984, and The Suicide Squad will debut on December 1 in the U.S. Shazam!, The Batman, DC League of Super-Pets, and Black Adam were later added to the list.

All movies will continue to stream on Max alongside Netflix. Zack Synder’s Justice League, a four-hour extended cut, won’t be included and will continue streaming exclusively on Max. Of the DCEU franchise, only Aquaman, Shazam! Fury of the Gods, The Flash, and Blue Beetle won’t be available on Netflix.

The deal represents the continued breaking down of walls between streaming services, with Max parent Warner Bros Discovery showing an increasing willingness to license out its shows and films to rival services. Over the summer, Netflix struck a deal with Warner Bros. Discovery’s HBO, a studio that is notoriously stingy with licensing out its content, that brought several fresh titles to the platform.

Over the past few months, Insecure starring Issa Rae, Ballers with Dwayne Johnson, Emmy Award-winning Band of Brothers, and Six Feet Under with Peter Krause and Michael C. Hall, all showed up on Netflix.

The No. 1 subscription streaming service has landed a number of titles that have been out of its grasp until recently. Many of these movies have been holding out for quite some time from premiering on the streaming giant. Warner Bros. Discovery also granted Netflix streaming rights to some of its content, including The Many Saints of Newark, Dune, Don’t Worry Darling, and Godzilla vs. Kong, which debuted on November 1.

As the films join Netflix, the DCEU franchise is wrapping up with the upcoming release of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom as James Gunn and Peter Safran focus efforts on a newly established DC Universe.

DC is also readying Dead Boy Detectives for release and finalizing the cast of the second season of The Sandman.
