HDHomeRun Premium TV is Offering Credits To Customers During “Contract Dispute” With Hallmark & Discovery

Today SiliconDust confirmed to Cord Cutters News that they will give HDHomeRun Premium TV customers a $10 credit “per month” during the Hallmark and Discovery outage. This comesafter  Discovery and Hallmark channels have not been dark on HDHomeRun’s live TV streaming services for about a week now.

In a statement sent to Cord Cutters News SiliconDush USA the parent company behind said. “With regard to the HDHomeRun Premium TV line up, there is an upstream contract dispute relating to Hallmark, Discovery Channel, HGTV, TLC, Food Network, Animal Planet, Travel Channel & OWN.” SilicondDust went on to say. “Our primary focus is our customers. Until this is resolved, Silicondust will issue a $10 credit per month to any affected customers.”

What exactly is happening is still not sure. HDHomeRun is a reseller of the Omniverse One World Television service. Other Omniverse One World Television partners including TIkilive have also seen some of their channels go offline recently. From the looks of it, some partner higher up is in contract talks with Discovery and Hallmark. Cord Cutters News is reaching out to Hallmark and Discovery for comment to see if we can learn more.

In the statement sent to Cord Cutters News SiliconDust went on to say that “we will continue to issue updates as they come.” We will post updates when we learn more.

Update: Omniverese is currently being sued by ACE, read more here.
